The next space I am DIYing in the newest Angela Rose Home is my primary bedroom. It feels like the right time to transform this space into a sanctuary that is just for me (and of course my kids when they are with me). My primary bedroom is going to be full of SO MANY good projects like a faux fireplace, ceiling details, and of course a bench built right into the window space. A girl has got to have a nook where she can meditate and dream big dreams (maybe even cry a little). Am I right? Benches are such a great way to utilize nooks and crannies in your home that may not have a purpose. I am going to walk you through the process of how to DIY a built-in bench so you can have one too!
I may not be the first person to whip up a homemade meal from scratch, but I do enjoy being in the kitchen. Especially when the kitchen design is full of personality! It is the DIYer in me. I’m inspired by the designs around me. Not feeling inspired by your kitchen? Your kitchen needs to be the perfect place for gathering, deep conversations, and impromptu dance parties. This is why I am sharing how to upgrade a builder-grade kitchen. I want you to have the kitchen of your dreams!
Tell me, did you survive the holidays? If you have been following along with me on social media, you know that this holiday season had its ups and downs. With all of the things that happened for our family in 2022, I was feeling pretty lonely and didn’t have much Christmas spirit. I was thinking the kids and I were going to keep things low-key and easy because I really didn’t have the bandwidth to do much of anything. But in the end, we made a full-blown mini Hallmark movie. Crazy how things change so drastically! The season ended up having an overpouring amount of Christmas spirit so I wanted to share the biggest (and best) thing I learned this holiday season.
How do you feel about bathrooms? To me, bathrooms should not be boring! Yes, they serve a purpose, but who says they can’t be fun too? One of my favorite places to create a vibe is actually in the bathroom. The space is small, but there are so many fun things you can do to start adding personality in your bathroom.
You know me, I LOVE doing DIY projects! It’s that initial spark of an idea that transforms into a creative process of planning with trial and error. I cannot get enough! There is just something about creating something yourself and letting the creative juices flow. It is my happy place. While I do LOVE all types of projects, the process isn’t always easy. It is easy to get stuck or frustrated during the stages of the project especially when you are trying something new. The key is knowing how to get unstuck on a DIY project.
Looking for a fun DIY gift idea? I’ve got you covered! The holiday season is here, but there is still time to whip out an amazing DIY project that you can gift your loved ones. I love giving DIY gifts because it feels like you are giving a piece of yourself. One of my favorite DIY gifts is what inspired me to create printable DIY dollhouse plans so that you can give a piece of yourself to your loved ones too.
New garage…new inspirational quote! I loved having a HUGE quote on the wall of the original Angela Rose Home. Not only did it bring some sunshine into a place I hang out all the time, it served as a reminder for my entire family that it’s not until we actually take that leap (and potentially fall) that we realize we can fly. If you’ve been with me for a while, you know that every project is so much more than just DIY. So while I am adding some inspiration to my new garage, I wanted to share how to make your own quote wall so that you can add your own inspiration to a special place in your home.
One of the most common questions I get asked is about my go-to wood stain shade. I love using Minwax wood stain, but in true Angela fashion, I like combining colors to create my own customized shade. Don’t worry, I’m willing to share all the secrets to my customized wood stain so that you can use it in your DIY projects too.
I cannot believe it! The first project in the newest Angela Rose Home has been completed. Of course, it’s a smaller part of a full room overhaul, but I think it needs its own glory moment! After some awesome Instagram polls, I decided to focus on updating the entry dining room. The first phase of the overall project was updating the old sliding glass door. Have a view you don’t like? Don’t worry, you can change it! Come learn how to upgrade old doors and windows.
I use IKEA furniture often. It’s a good price point. The products hold up well. But, I do find they aren’t incredibly unique, which is why I am always adding my own personal touches. I’ve got to put my Angela spin on things, right? Have you ever felt the same way? Don’t worry! I am sharing how to make Ikea look custom.
