I post about a lot of big DIY projects. BUT, I absolutely love how simple it is to transform a space by only using paint. It is one of the best DIY projects for any bedroom, whether you are looking to update your primary bedroom or you want to change things up for your kids in their rooms, paint is a quick and easy way to make an impact. This year, refresh the rooms in your home with the best bedroom paint colors for 2023.
The next space I am DIYing in the newest Angela Rose Home is my primary bedroom. It feels like the right time to transform this space into a sanctuary that is just for me (and of course my kids when they are with me). My primary bedroom is going to be full of SO MANY good projects like a faux fireplace, ceiling details, and of course a bench built right into the window space. A girl has got to have a nook where she can meditate and dream big dreams (maybe even cry a little). Am I right? Benches are such a great way to utilize nooks and crannies in your home that may not have a purpose. I am going to walk you through the process of how to DIY a built-in bench so you can have one too!
I may not be the first person to whip up a homemade meal from scratch, but I do enjoy being in the kitchen. Especially when the kitchen design is full of personality! It is the DIYer in me. I’m inspired by the designs around me. Not feeling inspired by your kitchen? Your kitchen needs to be the perfect place for gathering, deep conversations, and impromptu dance parties. This is why I am sharing how to upgrade a builder-grade kitchen. I want you to have the kitchen of your dreams!
Tell me, did you survive the holidays? If you have been following along with me on social media, you know that this holiday season had its ups and downs. With all of the things that happened for our family in 2022, I was feeling pretty lonely and didn’t have much Christmas spirit. I was thinking the kids and I were going to keep things low-key and easy because I really didn’t have the bandwidth to do much of anything. But in the end, we made a full-blown mini Hallmark movie. Crazy how things change so drastically! The season ended up having an overpouring amount of Christmas spirit so I wanted to share the biggest (and best) thing I learned this holiday season.
How do you feel about bathrooms? To me, bathrooms should not be boring! Yes, they serve a purpose, but who says they can’t be fun too? One of my favorite places to create a vibe is actually in the bathroom. The space is small, but there are so many fun things you can do to start adding personality in your bathroom.
You know me, I LOVE doing DIY projects! It’s that initial spark of an idea that transforms into a creative process of planning with trial and error. I cannot get enough! There is just something about creating something yourself and letting the creative juices flow. It is my happy place. While I do LOVE all types of projects, the process isn’t always easy. It is easy to get stuck or frustrated during the stages of the project especially when you are trying something new. The key is knowing how to get unstuck on a DIY project.
It’s no secret that my next big project is tackling my master bedroom. I can’t wait to tackle every inch in here, between the faux fireplace and “crying” bench. Finding the right headboard was actually what inspired so many of the projects I am going to do to transform the space. When everything comes together it is going to be so dreamy! My own personal sanctuary to dream up even bigger dreams.
This year has been a wild ride! It has been full of fun ideas, big changes, and most of all, DIY magic. Since we are heading into a new year that is guaranteed to be FULL of new and exciting things, I thought it would be fun to review my top 5 DIY projects from 2022.
I love adding a fresh coat of paint to spaces to give them a refresh. It is a simple project that has such a big impact. But, you may be wondering about the weather. Yes, it is true, we are heading into the colder winter months. But, there are a bunch of reasons why you should paint your room in the winter.
I love living in an area that has warm weather, but it doesn’t always feel like Christmas this time of the year. There is just something about all those Christmas movies and family photos that make you feel like you need to have chilly weather and snow for it to really be Christmas. I will be honest, snow is magical but you just have to know how to make your home feel like Christmas in a warm climate.
