MY DIY MODERN DOLLHOUSE...out of what was in my garage❤️❤️❤️. And do you see the arch doorway? I can’t even. I know this is supposed to be for my daughter, but I seriously cannot wait to play with this (I love tiny things so much they make me cry😂😭).

WOW! The brick wall is DONE...happy birthday to me🎉🙌🏻😂. and it’s exactly what I had been dreaming up in my head for the past 2 years (see my stories for the BEFORE of this space). What a crazy last few weeks it’s been, but I am so grateful I had this wall to work on and just keep me sane (ish).😉

I can’t quite capture in a picture how it just glows and totally transforms the whole house...but you’ll have to trust me. Or visit. Wait, social distancing! Haha. Let’s have a party here when we are all allowed to see each other again😉. Deal?

THIS. This is the vision I’ve had in my head for 2 years...the limewashed soft bricks, warm leather couch...also, THIS right here is my calm in the chaos. Something I can control, something I can DO. Projects have always been my therapy in my challenging times, and they are pulling through for me again today.

MADE FROM SCRATCH. Can you believe this planter was made from 2 of these boards? Neither can I😂. This was actually my FIRST EVER made from scratch project where all the boards were cut totally custom by me (rather than off the shelf) and I have to tell you, although I was nervous...it feels pretty FREAKING COOL.

When you’ve lost your mind bc you’re so tired, but at least you FINISHED THE FREAKING WALL🙌🏻😂. No way I could have finished in 24 hrs without the help of my girl @frills_and_drills . You know you love projects WHEN...you fly across the country from Florida to grout a wall😂. Worth it. Right???

Take THAT 13 ft tall brick wall💪🏻. Also, good work on that face dad (swipe for close up), but I’m pretty sure mine is more intimidating😉. Right? (Can you see the resemblance?) Dad is heading home tomorrow and now I’m on my own for the rest of this project❤️.

DECISION TIME: how would you finish these bricks? Leave, over grout German Shmear effect, paint?

What’s more impressive...the brick wall or my dad’s handstand? 😂 Bricking this wall in stories today, and it’s possibly the coolest most satisfying process ever. How many more hours till you think we will finish laying the brick?

FILMING DONE, and I am already missing it. I had the most magical and action packed last 5 days filming (can’t give details, but it’s for a potential exciting opportunity❤️). And THIS moment was something I will always remember: In all the chaos and action of the last few days, we spent a few quiet hours at the end just sitting down with me answering questions on camera. I got to talk about every aspect of DIY... projects... and transformations. How I LOVE them, why our spaces are important and how we all deserve to LOVE our homes and CAN love them if we just take that first step and do something about it.

I love what I do.
Even more, I love SHARING what I love with you and telling you that story.

I am feeling so humbled and grateful for this opportunity, and gave it everything I had. And now I wait. Thank you for cheering me on, and sending me all your messages. They all have meant so much to me and helped give me confidence in my myself that I CAN do this. Fingers crossed. We got this😉💪🏻.

LAUNDRY ROOM REVEAL (swipe)🙌🏻. I am in LOVE! This was a big project for me...it was first one I’ve done in someone else’s house, and it’s helping give me confidence going into this weekend of filming😳. This project proves to me that I can do hard things. Breathe in, breathe out.💪🏻🙌🏻

My valentines present to myself with a lil help from @zircontools ...now that’s true love❤️😂(swipe) #sponsored . Making baby steps with my messy garage magic by putting in this wood rack. Did you see the rest of my garage in my stories🙈? These wood racks only took less than an hour to hang, and majorly help with floor space (and keeping the wood away from the scorpions!). Pretty much the only step to installing these was locating the studs with my @zircontools StudSensor L50 which I picked up from Lowe’s! I love how the StudSensor shows me both edges of the stud!

EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT-ish! In one week I have some people coming in town, and we are going to be filming🎬🎥 for an EXCITING potential opportunity (and that’s about all I can say🤭). These pictures are exactly the emotions I am feeling: both SO excited... and feeling overwhelmed and inadequate (deeeeeeep breath). I promise to take you along behind the scenes and tell you as much as I’m allowed...deal?

Handles and wall treatment in HECK freaking YES (see stories)! It’s finally starting to come to come together, and I have to say I am relieved since this is my first project in someone’s house😂. Do you think I ended up waking up her 3 daughters with my nail gun and saw??? I will have to tell you tonight in stories😂.

3 questions BEFORE this HUGE brick wall is going down...I need your help (see stories):

1. Windows: how should I deal with them...leave shutters or remove and brick around?
2. Should brick go all the way to ceiling?
3. What treatment should I do: paint, limewash, leave as is?
