What a weekend that was! In 48 hours the DIY Dream Team completely transformed a bedroom. It was such an amazing experience working side by side with my friends and giving the homeowners a relaxing retreat. My favorite part of the whole experience was putting in the work with the personal touches to make the space come to life. And if you know me, you know I love accent walls…so of course, the wall was my favorite feature in this room.

I am about to show you progress on my master bedroom BUILT-IN desk nook with Lowe’s. The main element in this space is going to be some accent trim with a DIY wall, and of course a desk. I have carpet all over my house. Can I still use a rug? The answer to this question is a resounding YES!!! Rugs are an amazing tool over carpet and serve many functions beyond just being pretty! They can help protect the permanent flooring, OR they can mask carpet that may not be your favorite but isn’t the budget to replace. If you have a bedroom or living room and thought that you weren’t able to put a rug down…GO FOR IT!
Do you know what my MOST asked home question is? PAINT. So today, I am going to give you a tour around my house and give you all the details on the color, sheen, and type of paint I used in each space.
