Modern Staircase Renovation Tutorial

The first time I walked through my house I can remember looking up at the giant bulky staircase and thinking, I’m going to knock that out in a day. Now it may have taken more than a day to complete, 3 months to be exact, but I finally did renovate that awkward staircase! The original staircase surrounded a large wall structure that blocked the entire view of the living room from the loft. And I felt like it was dating my house. So I picked up my tools and got to work! And this modern staircase renovation tutorial turned out to be one of my favorite projects ever!

This was an intimidating project to start and it took me almost 3 months to finish. I poured my whole heart, mind, and body into this staircase transformation! Hours were spent knocking it down, building it up, trimming it out, and installing the new railings. And it was all worth it! Because now I really love my stairs and I get to enjoy them every day. I’m a DIY nerd, I know. I love all the little things! If you’re looking for the courage to make a change in your home, I am your biggest cheerleader. You can do it! Now let’s renovate these stairs.

And to think this was just a forgotten space before, and now it’s totally been brought to life. DIY Cloud-Inspired Boy’s Bedroom Makeover

I finally finished my son Blake’s bedroom makeover and I’m so happy I could cry! At the start of 2022, this room was just a vision in my head and it’s been so amazing to make it come to life. DIYing has helped me grow as a person and become more and more confident in who I am and what I can accomplish. I’m so proud of this DIY cloud-inspired boy’s bedroom makeover. and I’m proud of myself for making my dreams a reality.

If you’re wanting to start your own DIY projects, do it! It will change your life! And beginning with a project like DIYing each piece in a bedroom is a great place to start. This project took me 4 months to finish and I was able to take my time with each part of the room and really get creative. And now each shelf, light fixture, and DIYed door have so much more meaning to me because I built them! Let me show you what I did.

I had people ask me before I left “Why are you running away?” And my answer to them was “I’m not running away, it feels like I am returning HOME.
