There’s a few questions I get asked a lot. One of them is how to choose the right flooring shade for your home. Another question I get asked a lot is what type of mascara I use. IYKYK. We do a little bit of everything over here while we are DIYing. Since the question about flooring color comes up so often, I thought I would put together a how-to so that you find the perfect match!
I always try to create spaces that feel inspiring and beautiful, but it can be a difficult challenge to create a space that feels like you when you are renting. I know there are so many people who feel like they can’t DIY while they are renting. But, I think it’s time to stop pinning and start doing these renter-friendly DIY hacks so you can enjoy the space you are living in now.
There are two things I am always looking for when it comes to my house…1. Creative ways to decorate and 2. Ways to keep things organized. In all of my DIY adventures, floating shelves are a great way to accomplish both of those things (and more). I love being able to conquer that space of both function and beauty so I am sharing why you need floating shelves in your space.
I am so excited to introduce you to my flooring collection with Hewn! One of my favorite ways to wrap up a DIY transformation is with pieces of artwork. Artwork is super affordable to DIY and it looks so cool. Then once you are done figuring out what kind of artwork you want, all you have to do is hang it! Do you know how to hang photos the easy way? So many things in life are complicated, hanging pictures doesn’t need to be complicated too. So, whether you are looking to hang a gallery wall or large-scale artwork, I’ve got the best hack for how to hang photos the easy way.
Entryways can be a tricky place to tackle in your home. So many important things happen there. You welcome family and friends. Send off kids to school. Yet, the space isn’t quite big enough to be its whole own room. No matter how big or small a space is, I think it is important to make your home feel like an extension of you. That is why I’ve created a list of entryway essentials so that you can update your space and create something you love.
I post about a lot of big DIY projects. BUT, I absolutely love how simple it is to transform a space by only using paint. It is one of the best DIY projects for any bedroom, whether you are looking to update your primary bedroom or you want to change things up for your kids in their rooms, paint is a quick and easy way to make an impact. This year, refresh the rooms in your home with the best bedroom paint colors for 2023.
The next space I am DIYing in the newest Angela Rose Home is my primary bedroom. It feels like the right time to transform this space into a sanctuary that is just for me (and of course my kids when they are with me). My primary bedroom is going to be full of SO MANY good projects like a faux fireplace, ceiling details, and of course a bench built right into the window space. A girl has got to have a nook where she can meditate and dream big dreams (maybe even cry a little). Am I right? Benches are such a great way to utilize nooks and crannies in your home that may not have a purpose. I am going to walk you through the process of how to DIY a built-in bench so you can have one too!
I may not be the first person to whip up a homemade meal from scratch, but I do enjoy being in the kitchen. Especially when the kitchen design is full of personality! It is the DIYer in me. I’m inspired by the designs around me. Not feeling inspired by your kitchen? Your kitchen needs to be the perfect place for gathering, deep conversations, and impromptu dance parties. This is why I am sharing how to upgrade a builder-grade kitchen. I want you to have the kitchen of your dreams!
Tell me, did you survive the holidays? If you have been following along with me on social media, you know that this holiday season had its ups and downs. With all of the things that happened for our family in 2022, I was feeling pretty lonely and didn’t have much Christmas spirit. I was thinking the kids and I were going to keep things low-key and easy because I really didn’t have the bandwidth to do much of anything. But in the end, we made a full-blown mini Hallmark movie. Crazy how things change so drastically! The season ended up having an overpouring amount of Christmas spirit so I wanted to share the biggest (and best) thing I learned this holiday season.
