It’s done it’s done. I am so thrilled with how affordable this room turned out for the One Room Challenge. It was my first time participating since I only started my Instagram @angelarosehome account 6 months ago. I had a total blast! With my DIY closet doors, accent wall, and window framing, it was such a labor of love but so worth it. And what I love most about it, is that anyone can do it. I have all the tutorials (including the accent wall) saved to my @angelarosehome Instagram story highlights.
Below are links to items in my MASTER BEDROOM. The accent wall color is Newburg Green by Benjamin Moore.
Here are the links to everything in my boy bedroom. Accent wall color is Essex Green Benjamin Moore.
I am excited for my week 2 update for One Room Challenge! I finished this accent wall and it is ready for paint! I drew out the plans for this wall on some graph paper, and then adjusted it slightly as I went. It was actually way easier than board and batten. Check out my instagram where I am going to save all my how-to stories to my story highlights!
Alright! It’s happening. I am entering the One Room Challenge! For the next 6 weeks, I will be doing a complete makeover of my son’s bedroom…and I am so excited to share this transformation with you. Like always, I will be doing all the DIYs myself…and with all my power tools. I have big plans for a modern accent wall, new beds, closet redo etc. I would love for you to follow along. Now let’s start this thing (and follow along @angelarosehome)
2024 came to a close and I am excited to welcome 2025! But before I do…I want to reflect on what I accomplished this past year. We need to celebrate the wins before moving on to the next big thing. Looking back at all the DIY magic made in 2024, I hope it sparks some ideas for your next project and maybe even helps you take a moment to appreciate your own creative wins—big or small!
While on vacation, I saw some super rad headboards painted on the wall. They were amazing, and I just knew I wanted to recreate something similar in my own house. So for Colton’s 13th birthday, I gave him a super fun boy’s bedroom makeover. And it provided the perfect opportunity to create a DIY-painted headboard wall that I was dying to make!
Ahhh the Mother’s Day gift guide we’ve been waiting for. Home is truly where the heart is! For home decor lovers like us, we know that a home is never really finished, but instead a constant work in progress. I know first-hand that my home is my sacred place but with three kids, it can quickly turn into dirty floors, dusty countertops, and of course endless piles of laundry!
You guys know how much I love hardwood flooring in all the rooms in my house. No tile, no carpet, just my hardwood flooring! Although it’s a great flooring option to keep clean as a parent of three kids, it’s not the most cozy or comfortable thing to have under your feet. In order to add warmth to my space, I have an area rug in every single room of the house! Picking out the perfect area rug can be tricky, but I got you covered!
I post about a lot of big DIY projects. BUT, I absolutely love how simple it is to transform a space by only using paint. It is one of the best DIY projects for any bedroom, whether you are looking to update your primary bedroom or you want to change things up for your kids in their rooms, paint is a quick and easy way to make an impact. This year, refresh the rooms in your home with the best bedroom paint colors for 2023.
