I am so excited about the first ever DIY Buildoff that is happening right now with my friend Philip. Last weekend we both took you all step by step in our stories on building a planter out of 2 boards. We love to inspire you all, but what we love even more is when you actually take action and BUILD. So that’s what we are encouraging you to do. Grab a friend, spouse, parent and build this planter (or get creative) and we will pick our 4 favorites to give $100 Lowe’s gift cards to.

What a weekend that was! In 48 hours the DIY Dream Team completely transformed a bedroom. It was such an amazing experience working side by side with my friends and giving the homeowners a relaxing retreat. My favorite part of the whole experience was putting in the work with the personal touches to make the space come to life. And if you know me, you know I love accent walls…so of course, the wall was my favorite feature in this room.
Today I posted about my giant shower curtain wall art! And LET ME TELL YOU, I am in love…both with the way it turned out, and the cost. So get ready, because all you need to make this wall art is some wood and a shower curtain! I have all the videos saved in my story highlights on @angelarosehome as well.
I finally figured it out guys. This is life changing. I figured out a way to DIY a cement look fireplace for less than $100…and it isn’t a faux finish. All contractors quoted me $2,000 to $3,000 for their finishes, and so I am thrilled with the way this turned out. Okay, now let me help YOU achieve this finish also. And follow along with me @angelarosehome (Don’t you just love the One Room Challenge?)
This was a match made in heaven guys. I was wanting a bench seat for this cute corner in the Tent Room…when I came across this IKEA BESTA unit that fit the space perfectly. I knew I wanted a custom look, so with some custom door fronts from Semihandmade…and DIY cushion top…this DIY Ikea Bench Hack may just be my favorite little corner of the house.
Now, let me give you all the details so you can build one too! I’m going to outline for you exactly how to buy IKEA cabinets, add custom doors, and get your own unique look! (follow me @angelarosehome for more DIY and video tutorials)
