Okay, I’m not a big shopper, but I DID round up just a few of my favorite things for this holiday season.
***RYOBI is having a BUY a tool get one Free at Home Depot. Check out this link for details.*** Here are some Home Depot deals below.
You can get this drill and nail gun kit combo for $51 off. The nail gun is battery operated and doesn’t even need an air compressor. I use a drill and nail gun on almost every project.
Here is a miter saw for $100 off. It can even slide to accommodate wider boards. I use one to cut all my boards.
Electric Sander: This sander makes smoothing out wood, sanding off wood putty, and all finishing aspects so much quicker.
Kreg Jig(Optional but LIFE CHANGING): This tool is so cool because it allows you to attach boards with hidden holes so the finished project looks nicer (and it makes joints stronger). This is a must if you ever get into building built ins or basic furniture. This is the exact set I’ve had for 8 years and loved.

This Rug: 6o% off with code BLK60. This rug has been in our playroom for 3 years and we love it. Super soft, no shedding, and really durable with no wear.
This Nightstand: This is the nightstand I got for my son’s room and it’s the perfect color and really good quality for a great price.
This Nightstand:This is the nightstand in my room that I love!
These Pillows: Perfect 4 pack of Christmas pillows and for only $39!
Boogie Board : Such a good toy to entertain kids in the car or at church. They can write and erase on it over and over again. My kids use this all the time.
It’s done it’s done. I am so thrilled with how affordable this room turned out for the One Room Challenge. It was my first time participating since I only started my Instagram @angelarosehome account 6 months ago. I had a total blast! With my DIY closet doors, accent wall, and window framing, it was such a labor of love but so worth it. And what I love most about it, is that anyone can do it. I have all the tutorials (including the accent wall) saved to my @angelarosehome Instagram story highlights.
Here are the links to items in my FRONT LIVING ROOM. Brick details on DIY Brick Highlight bubble on Instagram.
Alright! It’s happening. I am entering the One Room Challenge! For the next 6 weeks, I will be doing a complete makeover of my son’s bedroom…and I am so excited to share this transformation with you. Like always, I will be doing all the DIYs myself…and with all my power tools. I have big plans for a modern accent wall, new beds, closet redo etc. I would love for you to follow along. Now let’s start this thing (and follow along @angelarosehome)
I wish I had a huge assortment of tools and a huge gorgeous garage workshop. The truth is, I am using the most basic versions of just a few tools and I mostly work on my garage floor…BUT, I’ve still been able to get by building built-ins, wall moldings, shelves, furniture etc. with just 5 power tools. So here’s a quick list of the ONLY 5 TOOLS YOU REALLY NEED to get going on almost any home improvement project.
I’m so excited to share my modern barn door tutorial with you! I wanted a barn door, but all the DIY options I found were for rustic barn doors…and I wanted a modern one. So, when I saw a picture on Joanna Gaines’ instagram of this gorgeous door I knew I needed to have it, and that I could make one! So I busted out my pencil and designed a modern barn door for $120. And with this $69 barn door hardware, the whole door total came to under $200!
