I know I may be overly excited, but this way to make a barn door is REVOLUTIONARY and the best way ever. The DIY Easy Shiplap Door only cost me $60 and I did it in under an hour. How I Organically Gained 50,000 Instagram Followers in 8 Months

What a fun and crazy 8 months this has been since starting @angelarosehome last Spring! I had no idea when I started this account, that I would have 50,000 people interested in my projects and home DIY. It is humbling, and I have loved being able to share what I love and help empower others to love their homes also.  Recently, I have been getting a lot of questions about how I have grown, and what tricks and advice I have for other accounts wanting to grow. The Only 5 Tools You Need for DIY: UPDATED

I wish I had a huge assortment of tools and a huge gorgeous garage workshop. How to DIY a $10 Long Art Ledge

When I first saw the art ledge from Chris Loves Julia, I knew I loved it and needed one. The only problem was, their instructions involved a table saw to cut down one big piece of wood, which I didn’t have. How to DIY a Board and Batten Wall: Dos and Don’ts

It’s all here! What TO do, and what NOT to do for the most professional-looking board and batten wall! I now want one in every room in my house :). First of all, board and batten basically just means putting wood/mdf strips on your wall in a pattern or design! I love it because is an affordable way (only$150!) to give a space character, add a focal point, and elevate your space.

Easily Build a Floating Shelf

This is the shelf tutorial you need! I love the look of floating built-in shelves, but most tutorials have shelves that look very bulky and are at least 3 inches thick. I looked and looked for the perfect way to make a THIN 1.5 inch floating shelf, and liked the ideas from Young House Love’s tutorial. So, with a few changes, I gave my thin floating shelves a try in my bathroom (where if I totally messed it up…it wouldn’t matter!), and I LOVE how they turned out!

Here are my step by step instructions. Now go build some shelves!
