After months of cold, rainy, and maybe even snowy weather, many of us feel the urge to revamp and refresh our homes in anticipation of the new season (hence the term “spring cleaning”)… I know I do! It can often be difficult to know where to begin when wanting to freshen up your space.
If you’re looking to spruce up your house this spring without breaking the bank or making a drastic change, here are 10 easy ways to refresh your space!
Sprinkle in Brighter Spring Colors (Subtly)
I know, dark cozy colors feel so right in the winter, but it’s time to swap them out for some brighter neutrals or pastels. Changing your area rug for something brighter is such an easy way to incorporate a pop of color into your space.

There are so many awesome seasonal wallpaper options! I would suggest using a floral or bright abstract option!

Swapping your knobs and pulls for something more modern is a great way to update your furniture from the kitchen cabinets to your dresser. It’s time to switch out your Gingerbread holiday candles for something a little more spring-friendly. Candles are a great way to liven up any room of the house. If you’re someone who loves scents go for a floral or citrus candle, but if you’re someone who can’t stand smells, go for an unscented candle in a pretty pastel jar.
Upgrade Your Lighting
Is your ceiling still holding an old light fixture you’ve had for years? Spring is a great time to rejuvenate your ceiling with something a little lighter and brighter. A light chandelier transforms a space like a living room or dining room and acts as a beautiful centerpiece for your ceiling.
Switch Up Your Wall Art
Exchanging a few art pieces around your house is a great way to liven up your spaces. One of my favorite ways to cover walls, especially in the bedrooms, is to hang tapestries. They are so low-maintenance and easy to switch out whenever you feel the need!
